ABOUT
Overview

While at VisualHero, I worked with the team at Apple across two distinct projects spanning both consumer facing and internal experiences: Helping reshape the in store booking online flow for customers, and building internal iPad tools used daily by Apple Store teams. Doing both UX and Design for the store. While focusing on mostly design for the internal tools. The store experience is no longer live, and the internal tools are under NDA, but I'm happy to talk through either.

Research & Process
Apple research

We worked closely with the team at Apple, showing work frequently, listening to feedback, pitching ideas, and using weekly critique to stay aligned. We were remote so frequent touchpoints were important. Each project required its own research foundation, which was handled by another team member. For the booking experience, the focus was understanding the customer journey, identifying pain points, and innovating where possible while respecting the patterns users already knew. For the internal tools, the work involved mapping how store staff actually operated day to day and where existing tools created friction. Those insights drove every UI decision, ensuring each interface was shaped by real workflow needs rather than assumption.

Design Standards

Core principles were established early to anchor both projects: clarity, speed, and consistency. Strict adherence to Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and internal design libraries ensured every screen felt native to the ecosystem and met the standard the brand demands.
